I cannot or I don’t want? | #13: The Hereticals / subbed

THIS VIDEO IS SUBTITLED IN ENGLISH – please turn CC on

Sometimes we reach our “red line” of our boundaries with things and other people.

All seem unbearable, “I cannot stand it any more” we want to cry out loud and aggressively or silently and sorrowfully.
And we need to become visible in our hard moments, we need to be seen by somebody, who will comfort us, who will support us in carrying such a weight.

However, our education, at least in our technocratic societies, is not at all helpful.

To process this “I cannot stand it any more” we learn that either we must become aggressive and destroy in cold blood what troubles us, or we have to suffer it and try to “accept” it passively by developing ourselves to remain beyond our feelings of despair, anger and sadness.
Especially the 2nd suggestion, is very much promoted in our days by ideas connected with several variations of esoterism and a superficial notion about “spiritual development”…

How could we approach this so frequent in our days issue of psychic exhaustion, beyond the “either/or” polarity of aggression/passivity?

*** “The Hereticals” is a series of live videos that I do in fb and I upload also here, in my web-page, as well as in my channel in You Tube.
*** All of “The Hereticals” are on concepts that I think are horribly abused by internet, social media and pop-psychology (love, forgiveness, interconnectedness, positive thinking, the power of our thoughts, etc).
*** I do not claim at all that what I say about such concepts is any kind of “truth”, I only present my personal approach.

NOTE: All of “The Hereticals” are based on and refer directly or indirectly to the theory and philosophy underlying Gestalt therapy and especially its existential aspects.
