This video, even if it stands alone, it is actually the 2nd Part of my approach to the word “forgiveness” – a word that I think it suffers much in our days as it is superficially conceived in the internet soup and the pop-psychology over-sweet salads.
“Forgiveness” seems to be a very “hot” subject in our hypocritical consumer societies.
This is why there is much to say and this 11th video of “The Hereticals” is somehow the continuation of the 1oth.
In our time, we smile much and we like to consider ourselves “civilised” ignoring the tremendous and well covered violence everywhere.
It is by now a fashion to declare our tendency towards spirituality, even if this means that we are killing our wholeness by pushing away what feelings are considered to be “low”, “primitive”, “selfish”.
In other words, I think that we confuse what would mean to integrate the so called “negative feelings” with their elimination.
And, it seems that we forget something very important: that feelings are produced much beyond our consciousness. When we mentally understand our feelings and we say “I feel this or that”, this or that feeling has ALREADY been generated in our being.
So, we cannot eliminate it. What we can do is only to find ways to deal with it, to integrate it in our wholeness.
After a brief summarizing of the central idea of the 10th video in the first minutes of this, the 11th video of “The Hereticals”, let us see what happens when WE are asking to be forgiven.
What might be hidden in our asking to be forgiven?
And why often, when we did something that we think it is “wrong”, we eagerly accept to “pay” endlessly, again and again, in order to somehow balance what we consider to be “our mistake”?
*** “The Hereticals” is a series of live videos that I do in fb and I upload also here, in my web-page, as well as in my channel in You Tube.
*** All of “The Hereticals” are on concepts that I think are horribly abused by internet, social media and pop-psychology (love, forgiveness, interconnectedness, positive thinking, the power of our thoughts, etc).
*** I do not claim at all that what I say about such concepts is any kind of “truth”, I only present my personal approach.
NOTE: All of “The Hereticals” are based on and refer directly or indirectly to the theory and philosophy underlying Gestalt therapy and especially its existential aspects.
