short snapshot from the work
at the workshop”Polytechno” (accompanied by my music from the composition “ARS MORIENDI”).
It is an exercise on improvised movement about the theme of the title, for one person.
The theme of the improvisation is the development of a kinetic dialogue between the individual and the group.
The improvisator suggests spontaneously various kinetic motifs, the group responds accordingly, the individual draws inspiration by the group’s responses and so on.
This is an exercise of my approach PSP (Process-Stage-Praxis) applicable in several forms of stage-arts.
Similar patterns of PSP exercises I use also when I train in Playback Θέατρο.
Improvises Katerina Kouneli.
PSP (Process-Stage-Praxis) is an approach for embodied interaction, that I devised since 2006.
PSP is an adjunctive skill (a complementary tool) for any kind of work that has to do with process and awareness: psychotherapy, counselling, social interventions, education, art, Organizations / work-field.
PSP is not an autonomous psychotherapeutic modality or some form of art-therapy.
PSP simply enriches the already existing tools of someone working in the fields mentioned at the paragraph above and does not substitute professional training in these fields (you may see in You Tube: “The ‘Motif’ exercise in PSP”).
It is noted that:
(a) “process” is meant as the continuously flowing stream of our personal experience producing the sense of “I am” and of our subjective physical and psychological reality,
(b) “awareness” is meant as the ability to sense what happens in this stream on multiple levels (it is a fundamental means of personal growth and the “fulcrum” of any kind of work with the process).
