note 01: introducing the crisis
The 1st of 13 autonomous yet conceptually interconnected videos (9 shorter and 4 longer ones) on any kind of personal or collective crisis.
In each video, the audio part is background voice and the visual part is a synthesis of combined images, clips and sketches.
Each video is autonomous and all the videos can be seen in any order.
However, they are thematically interconnected and all together make a kind of “study”.
The raw material of this project is the theory of a webinar that I had at the Training and Therapy Institute “SYNERGIJA” (North Macedonia), in which I am a trainer and co-operator in educative and other programs.
To create the “Notebooks and notes on Crisis”,
I split the audio recording of the theoretical part of that lecture in 13 autonomous sequences.
Then, I re-arranged the sequences and used them as the audio of these 13 videos without any further thorough editing, to keep the originality of the live presentation.
At the starts and endings of the videos I used some very short chunks of my music from the past period, when I was a composer.
This is the reason why: (a) the audio quality is not so good, (b) very often my English is bad, with mistakes, as I was talking live without reading some text, (c) the vocal parts do not start and end with intros and conclusions. I would suggest though to watch these videos in full screen.
Of course, this is not a complete approach to what we cal a personal or collective “crisis, but a rather existential configuration of some of its fundamental aspects through my points of view.
In any case, to synthesize this project was a hard and time consuming process (more than 3 moths), but I enjoyed much employing my creativity in every one of its steps.
